Flying Safe

by Mike Hall, Feb 3, 2006

Congratulations to 20 Air Traffic Controllers who won the 2005 National Air Traffic Controllers’ Archie League Medal of Safety awards. They helped make 10 “saves” of aircraft in distress last year. The award, named for Archie League, the first air traffic controller, salutes controllers who displayed extraordinary skill to ensure safety in critical situations in 2005.
