Two Guys: Offshoring, Downsizing and Life in a Limo

Back at the diner, Joe and Jim express amazement that CEOs persistently attack laws providing workers with overtime pay, when their own pay is so excessive. And leading the way in corporate greed is the nation’s CEO-in-chief, George W. Bush. Or, as Jim says in describing Bush:

He never met a CEO he didn’t like. And guess what? CEOs don’t get time and a half. But the poor working guy does.

Adds Joe:

And they’re trying to take it away.

The two Philadelphia Transport Workers (TWU) members have shared their diner-side chats with us this week on the economy and the cost of the Iraq war and have pondered Bush’s total lack of support for working people.
