1. Affordable Health Care.
2. FAIR Trade.
3. Renewable Energy & The Environment.
4. Public School Funding & Access To Higher Education.
5. Big Business Buying Out Our Federal Government.

I will for for the candidates who will do the most to bring about the following:
1) End War in Iraq
2) Charge Bush, Cheney,Rumsfeld,Rice,Gonzales with Crimes against humanity for allowing and promoting Torture, Rendition, illegal prisons, detainment, etc.
3) Repeal the Reagan 25% tax breaks for the rich and increase taxes on the Rich and lower taxes on the Poor and Middle Class.
4) Free Universal Single Payer Health Care for all
5) Pension protection legislation that forces all Companies to pay 100% of promised pensions to its retirees and also forces CORRUPT UNION LEADERS to do the same and RESIGN for SELLING OUT its MEMBERS.
6)Protect Social Security forever
7) Living Wage legislation based upon One Wage earner in a family of four , working 40 hours per week earning enough money to keep that family of 4 above the povery line. Nationalization of all of our oil reserves with our government also taking a 60% ownership interest of all Oil Refineries.
9) Ban Home Schooling and Put an end to the fa8iled End Charter School program and put that money back into Public Schools and change the funding so that all Public School will provide Quality Education.
10) Repeal all the illegal laws that were implimented after 9/11 that violate our Constitution.
The natioal party must have a vision beyond the global economy. It must include an economy that makes America number one.Our jobs must be protected. We can not survive as a service society!
The AFL-CIO should back candidates that take-up the mantle of elevating and strengthening American families. Every issue should lead back to “the Hub” of the wheel; families. Spokes on the wheel should include ending a very costly Bush Iraq War; incentives to promote stay at home parenting; national health care; educational opportunities for all; jobs; meaningful energy and environmental actions; rebuilding and realigning the US military; a US worker based free trade policy; a real immigration program that begins with securing borders and ports; advancing a nobel foreign policy that leads the World through positive example and so on. Unions have to press candidates for their specific plans for the US. Good wishes! Albert Colone
Ending the war, and foreign affairs are most important in todays world. All of the major Democratic candidates have strong positions on health care and labor issues.
The one with real foreign policy experience is Bill Richardson. He was Ambassador to the UN, in the Clinton administration and is still called upon for diplomatic missions.
1. Ending the Iraq war
2. Fair trade policy
3. Equal rights for ALL Americans
4. Global warming
5. Public funded elections
6. Ethics in government
7. Immigration reform
8. Alternate energy sources
1. US out of Iraq–completely.
2. Single payer health care.
3. Index minimum wage to the CPI.
4. Labor law reform.
5. Cut military spending–where’s our “peace dividend”?
Immigration, and the war in Iraq will get me to the polls, and not for the reasons you may think. While “they” say illegal immigrants take only those jobs no one else wants, “they” are also willing to re-adjust our school systems to educate non english speaking students, and ,offer scholarships to those same students in the future, all with your tax dollars!! Now, when those students are educated, just whose jobs do you think they are coming after? Bear in mind, this is all being accomplished on your hard earned tax dollars. As to the war in Iraq, I feel very comfortable sitting here in my office, knowing those brave young men and women are keeping the wolf away from my door! I, personally, feel we can stay there and hope to create a better government for the Iraqi people and hopefully in time some of the surrounding countries, OR, we can end it, and again, in my humble opinion we will eventually fight them here. If the latter should occur, it would matter very little about fair trade, global warming, renewable energy, affordable health care etc. According to current government statistics, Illegal Immigrants, are receiving more in entitlements, than I am receiving, yearly, on my Social Security! Eliminate entitlements, to ILLEGAL Immigrants, take that money and use it for affordable health care, school funding, higher education (for American citizens) etc. I resent having my tax dollars used for ILLEGAL entitlements, if I were to use my money for any other ILLEGAL activities I would go to jail.
The only thing that will intice me to EVER AGAIN VOTE is when i see an INDEPENDENT running for president. Both parties for a number of years have totally ignored the working class. Year ater year we listen to the same line of crap,,,,,nothing changes for the better. Both parties are OWNED BY CORPORATE AMERICA Both parties have given us NAFTA AND CAFTA. Both parties are ovlivious as to what is really occuring in America. Until i see that INDEPENDENT ,,,,,,,NEVER WILL I EVER VOTE AGAIN Al Mellen

The only issue necessary is the necessity to rid ourselves of the Criminals who disregard the fact that this is not “THEIR” government.
For too many years now The Republican Party Enablers have allowed a Mafia like concentration of neocons take total control of our country. These Republican Legislators must be removed from the offices that allowed them to assist the White House Dictators in taking total control of our government with total disregard for the American Working Class people.
It is time to eject all who have assisted Bush/Cheney and Rove in the coup created by a Fake War ! Bring our Troops Home and restore a true democracy where the people may control the Politicians.
1.) No Guest Worker Amnesty.
2.) Close Open Borders.
3.) Punish Illegal Alien Employers.
4.) End the H1B Visa program.
5.) End the Democratic Party Ownership by Corporations.
1. Affordable and Equitable Health Care Policy
2. Renewable Energy promotion
3. Accessibility to Higher Education
4. Responsible foreign policy
5. Stronger Environmental policy
I would like to see more done to protect working families and thier jobs, more and more company’s are closing thier factory’s and moving them to some other country for cheaper wages. more and more you see to much corporate greed. I am for the canidate that cares for the working families and UNION WORKERS OF AMERICA.
Lets get real here. This has got way out of hand here and this is having a cost on the intire market place. Let’s look at Exon here. Have they yet paid anything on the Exon Valdies spill? Thet are making billions here in profits. We also have a Tax problem here in the USA and doesn’t sean to be bothering our Oil Companys here. We seam to be being took as a bunch of dummys here and our goverment just keeps on smilling about this. What are we doing for our friends in the other countrys other than making them rich. We seem to keep owing and owing them and we keep on selling out here. “We The People” need to do something here because it has go way out of hand with the lies and truth not being told. Time to step up here before we completely lose our country!
1. End the illegal war and occupation in Iraq.
2. Health care for all, covering everyone, with a fair financing mechanism.
3. Making the Employee free Choice Act law, and removing other barriers to workers freely chosing a union.
1. Winning the war in Iraq
2. Eliminating Polictical parties, all candiates are Independents
3. Getting out of the United Nations
4. Illegal Immigration
5. Saving my governmental agency from cutbacks.
6. No new Taxes
7. Greener energy
8. Exposing the global warning hoax.
1. Restoring all of our constitutional rights and habeas corpus.
2. Getting out of Iraq NOW.
3. Single payer health care for everyone including the undocumented.
4. Prosecuting and blacklisting war prfoiteering corporations.
5.Reversing the flow of funds so the rich stop getting richer and the poor and middle classes poorer.
6. Beginning real work on non fossil fuel energy sources.
All the usual bleeding heart, tax and spend issues. Right now, living in North Carolina, where we will not hold our primary election until months after the election is over, I will vote for Kucinich, the only Dem running who begins to address all the issues I care about.
Clinton loves the war, and loves NAFTA, which has been an unmitigated disaster ever since her hubby betrayed his base by signing it. If she is nominated, I will stay home on election day for the first time since I turned old enough to vote!
The following issues have priority in my book:
1) End the illegal, immoral, unjustified war in Iraq!
2) Passage of H.R. 676 (Medicare For All)
3) Passage of Employee Free Choice Act
4) The indictment and incarceration of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and Rice for crimes against humanity, violation of our Constitutional Rights
5) Roll back the tax credits given to the wealthy in 2000!
While this list is numbered there is not a particular priority all of them are needed or the working class will never be what it once was in this country, and the new monarchy of money will remain firmly entrenched.
1. Fair Global trading rules that don’t cost American’s their job
2. National one payer Health Care
3. Reformation of Labor Law so it means something on the shop floor.
4. End the war
5. End the explotation of undocumented workers by addressing the core problem, trade agreements that destroy developing countries economies.
1. Corporate elites want us to blame immigrants and not their free trade practices. Fair trade not free trade. STOP THE BIGOTRY TOWARDS BROWNSKINNED PEOPLE. THEY ARE NATIVE TO THESE CONTINENTS. We, white people are the intruders. Open borders for all workers. Unite with all workers. Amnesty. Build a strong international labor movement.
2. STOP THE MASSIVE FUNDING FOR DEFENSE CONTRACTORS AND BUILD A STRONG SAFETY NET FOR WORKING CLASS PEOPLE.
3. The labor movement must make a clear statement against funding corporate wars which kill poor people and working people. The demo-repubs have sold us out. They are not worth our support.
1. Build a strong labor movement that can tax the rich and serve poor and working peoples. These politicians work for wall street not us.
2. Unite with all workers here and internationally. If corporations can cross borders freely then all workers should be allowed to do
so. Open borders, fair trade and amnesty for all.
3. Jobs that build infrastructure, serve schools, elderly and the common good not funding for defense contractors, immoral wars, torture and destroying civil rights.
4. Increase social security and build a stronger safety net.
Dennis Kuchinich is the only viable candidate out there, unless Ralph Nader makes a big showing. Who else, besides these two, really understand the plight of the working class and who else, would actually do something about it?
One thing not on the table, as of yet, is the treasonous behaviour of corporations and what should be done to the CEOs, GMs and shareholders who are raping our economy and destroying the middle and lower classes by shipping our jobs and their headquaters overseas to avoid sharing in this great wealth.
Level headed (read: radical) thinkers need to be in charge in order to restore sanity to this country, its economy, its soul and take what we have left of democracy to where it hasn’t gone yet.
Should we continue to let things go the way they have been going, this will all be over: just a footnote is some facist’s history book. Nader was right.
A long time ago.
Too bad no one took him seriously then.
1.Renewable source of energy..HELLO people! we are killing the planet, it can’t breath. Let’s brake away from fossil fuels so we can save our planet AND stop lining the CEO’s pockets. Not to mention the cost of gas is outrageous. People should be out picketing in the streets in protest.
2.Health care for all legal immigrants and citizens.
3.Secure borders, stop letting people in who have to rely on OUR legal working families tax dollars to survive ILLEGALLY in our country.
4.Keeping American jobs in America.
5.Applying more funds to improve our public education system.
Democrats need to not be scared of Jesus. They also need to hold the Republicans feet to the fire about Pro Life. God cares about all children not just children in the womb. So when have you heard the Republicans Posting and supporting adoption agencies for young pregnant ladies. When and where have you seen them pass a bill for health care for mom and the baby as long as they live. When and where have you seen promised education for Mom and Baby until the child completes and the mom completes whatever education whether college or vocational or apprenticeship programs. Where is the money going to stop the murdering in Darfur and other countries. Where was the Pro Life at Katrina however w made his way to VA tech dont get me wrong that was right thing to do so was the gulf coast which he still has not cleared up. Once last thing God and Not the Goverment is the author of Life and Death and that decision comes down to mom of the baby daddy of the baby and thier God, which is not bush even though he thinks he is.
1) doing away with NAFTA, WTO!
2) retalitory taxes on China
3) Single payer health plan
4) Alternative energy now
5) how to get out of Iraq and get Iraq sending out the message of what they want instead of us.
6) Illegal immigration apollo effort to crack down
I for one believe that the Electoral College as it stands now does not gaurantee my vote in any Presidential Election: the popular vote was invalidated twice by the current incumbent with still lot of doubt in my mind in regards to his validity to be called my President.
If I am to mobilize my membership in this election it will based on the Labor Agenda and that Agenda only!
I am a member of the Building Trades and recognize the need for some realistic development in our nation.
1 Alternative Energy Producing Power Plants that are Eco Friendly and Safe while we begin to upgrade all existing power plants to produce clean energy that have not been upgraded too date.
2 Construction of Quality Schools that can capicitate the allowance for smaller classes and eliminate the over crowding of the number of students as the existing schools do here in NYC
3 Eliminatethe burden of over-taxation of the Middle Income families and direct the burden on those who can afford it without hardship.
3 Take us back on the focus of fighting terrorism and not a personalized agenda: I Will Never Forget My Brothers & Sisters Who Died On 9/11!
4 Develope a realistic agenda for universal health care for all that will not allow the coporate agenda rape us!
4 Expand our education system beyond mere academia and begin re-training our youth to become ready to join a work force that will enable then to have jobs here a America: Stop the Esporting of Work Out Side of the United States aand bring the production back Home!
That is just of few of what my members have told me they have as their concerns, and many share the concerns others have expressed as well.
Either way regardless: we need to Get Out The Vote and take back what was supposed to be OURS!
Universal Healthcare for all.
Protect American Jobs by getting rid of NAFTA and CAFTA
Getting Foreign Currencies to the level they should be or devalue ours to make for fair trade.
Getting out of IRAQ NOW!!!!!! We never should have gone in the first place.
IMPEACH BUSH AND CHENEY NOW !!!!!!!!!
Make the People FIRST AND FOREMOST NOT SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS !!!!!!
I hope that democrats wake up to the fact that there is no way that Hilary would win in a general election…we can not afford another Republican President and Hilary would be a force which would unite Republicans to get to the polls and vote against her.
Barack Obama offers the best hope for the American people and our country. He has the intelligence, charisma, skill and spirit to help repair our image in the world and help change policies to make our country more fair to working class americans again.
Proud tax paying American Union Member on 05.05.2007 at 12:45 (Reply)
I have serveral things I am looking for in our next President. The Free Choice Act and the belief in Unions. A lot of politicians think that because we want a fair wage guarateed, it’s a crime. The illegal immigration has gone way to far. Illegal is illegal, they have human rights but not American rights. We have fought and earned this right. Also, our education needs much help. I would like a president that is for the working people and not the rich people!!
I will vote for the candidate who will do the most to bring about the following:
1) End the illegal war and occupation in Iraq.
2) Charge Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Gonzales with Crimes against humanity for allowing and promoting A Unjustified War, Torture, Rendition, illegal imprisonment, detainment, etc.
3) Repeal the Reagan 25% tax breaks for the rich, and make it a Federal crime for corporations to pay outrages wages and benefits to CEO. These same company want their employees to work for list at every contract including taking away their retirements but have not problem with the ridiculous benefits that they approve for the CEO and upper management.
4) Free Universal Single Payer Health Care for all
5) Pension protection legislation that forces all Companies to pay 100% of promised pensions to its retirees.
6) Protect Social Security forever. The Government must be made to live up to the promises it made to the American workers.
7) Living Wage legislation based upon One Wage earner in a family of four , working 40 hours per week earning enough money to keep that family of 4 above the poverty line. Ban Home Schooling and Put an end to the failed End Charter School program and put that money back into Public Schools and change the funding so that all Public Schools will provide Quality Education.
9) Repeal all the illegal laws that were implemented after 9/11 that violate our Constitution.
Expose the truth about Iraq’s WMDs. They had them, Syria has them now. China has levage over the White House and Congress and prevents the truth from coming out. America debt to China prevents the truth that the war was justified. So:
End China’s and other foreign ownership and investiments in America.
How can the war in Iraq be illegal war? Congress voted for it, Congress is the only branch of government that can approve war. Learn how our government works before it you speak.
Beside the Dems will never impreach the President. They can’t because they voted for the war.
Pay attention to Kucinich’s promise to repeat GATT and NAFTA-as lofty a promise as it may be-and support it whomever gets elected.
Number one, and to me a no brainer, should be establishing a heathcare system akin to that of the Wester European Nations in which the insurance companies are precluded from the process (aka free for all)!! The definition of best heathcare has to take into account the availability and cost to all!!!
1) Get out of Iraq
2) Do not declare war on Iran
3) Enforce rules & laws equally for all involved
4) To whom much is given, much is expected; tax the wealthier & give some much needed breaks to the middle class
5) Make it law that all government agencies provide the public with a means to make suggestions and make changes to laws that are unclear, ineffective, unenforceable, etc. - each agency should have to be accountable to the extent of its effectiveness in providing taxpayers with the services for which they are so heavily taxed.
1. Energy Independence/Renewable Energy
2. Universal Healthcare or a hybrid system
3. Serious work to reverse global warming
4. Intelligent war against terror. (A centralized conventional military force does not in any way shape or form count as “Intelligent.)
5. Incentives for American Companies to stop outsourcing and return to high profitability by using business models similar to Toyota
Thank God George W. is almost done. These last 7 years have been devistating the middle class America. Everytime that I go to our International Meetings, there are so many folks that I have known through the years who are no longer there. These have lost there jobs to foreign competition. We can sit still and go down with the ship, or we can awaken this sleeping giant that we call organized labor, and make a huge difference in 2008. I am tired of false promises from our polititians. If they support free trade we should not support them. We must decide who will support organized labor, support them, and then hold them accountable for their actions. We can make a diffence but it will take more than just talk.
I would like to discontinue the USA’s relationship with the Federal Reserve as it stands today. In 1963 the then President Kennedy signed an executive order to do just that. The Federal Reserve makes trillions of dollars off of the USA in interest. This country is under the control fo the Federal Reserve. Let’s do something different with this relationship. What do the candidates think about this.
help from the federal goverment during disasters —anyone still remembers Hurricane Katrina. We the people are still suffering from bureaucated politicians.
Thanks
1. Fair trade
2. The right to organize
3. Border enforcement.
4. Universal healthcare. Thats not run by greedy insurance companies.
5. Getting off of the addictive oil drug.
I think Bush should get our troops out of Iraq and quit bringingthe Iraqians into the USA for free and put our troops around all the America borders and kill anyone who tries to come into the United States illegal.I say quit sending our money over there to rebuild that god forsacken place that don’t want our help.
Give our money back to the American taxpayers where it belongs and get all of the illegal Mexicans out of America and send them all back home where they belong for they are not welcome here in the United States.Bush needs to be Impeached before he kills the American people with another war with Iran, Russia.
He is turning lots of these countries against the Americans. Impeach him now before it’s too late.I forgot, we don’t have a grovernment with any balls or backbone that knows how to stand up on their own feet for they are afraid of our Dictator President who is a over grown spoiled baby that ha for fighting experience.
Thank you for listening
I think Pres. Bush,Vice Pres. Cheney, and Rummy should all be impeached where applicable and, if not, charged with TREASON of the highest order. I mean by now it should be quite apparent to any one capable of even the most limited critical thinking ability to have come to the conclusion that George and his Rep. Admin. took the 911 attack as an opportunity to take control of the middle east in a misguided belief that they could stabilize and secure oil prices and production.
Taking control of the mid east region however meant concocting a reason to attack a country and occupy it. Who better than the hapless Iraqis and their clownish leader Sadam. We knew that they could not resist an invasion by us, hell, we were their military adviser’s and suppliers for 8 yrs back in the 80’s when they were at war with Iran plus Sadam could not own up to NOT HAVING ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTUCTION because it would leave him vulnerable to an attack by Iran .
I honestly think we lost control of our Gov. to the Military-Industrial Complex back when Kennedy was assassinated. The U.S is THE largest exporter of weapons in the world BAR NONE.It is our MAIN export. No other U.S. product comes close to matching the value of the weapons WE export.
Guess what? No conflict-no money. That is why it is important that big Corps. control our Gov. by controlling OUR REPRESENTSTIVES. It is a shell & pea game and we are the DUPES!
God have mercy on us. Unions may just be the only viable organizations that can we can use to take back OUR GOVERNMENT.
Circus Maximus Politicus And That Urpy Feeling, A Rant
Eight faces that I’m thoroughly sick of.
Ten faces that make me vomit, projectile style.
Now, the man on the stand he wants my vote,
He’s a-runnin’ for office on the ballot note.
He’s out there preachin’ in front of the steeple,
Tellin’ me he loves all kinds-a people.
He’s eatin’ bagels
He’s eatin’ pizza
He’s eatin’ chitlins
He’s eatin’ bullshit!
Bob Dylan “I Shall Be Free”
I knew this would happen when they started campaigning for the 2008 election five minutes after the 2006 mid terms. I felt it coming, like the feeling I get when I eat a giant sausage sandwich with peppers and onions at midnight, I know that indigestion is in my immediate future.
I’m sick of politics, thoroughly, fed up, to the gills…. Urp!
I know, I know, being sick of politics is like being tired of living, OK so what what what do you do about it? Shut up? Quit bitching? Take up residence in the nearest hermitage? Find a cuckoo’s nest and commit to it?
I’ve been reflecting in the last few days about lofty goals, the dreams and visions of changing the world expressed by the alpha personalities parading before us in this increasingly irrelevant, interminable and irritating beauty contest of a presidential election campaign.
I met a person recently whose goal every day is to help people in one remote village get a second meal each day, just that, help someone who normally eats once in every twenty four hours to get an extra tuna sandwich.
There are thousands of such people who arise each day, not thinking about building a nuclear reactor, desalinating the Indian ocean, irrigating a billion acres of desert, creating productive farmland to feed an entire continent, but simply concern themselves with helping Julius Mukembe provide a second meal for himself and his wife and children as well as the families in the other 17 huts in some remote part of nowhere.
A remote part of nowhere, where a scientific breakthrough is a septic system and mass transit is a foot bridge that enables livestock to forage in new pasture land and cuts hours off the daily task of gathering fuel or food.
A remote part of nowhere where a health care program is clean water, where feeding the hungry means sharing your dinner.
I no longer believe that any of the high class whores depicted in the circus pictures above will do anything that will make life easier or better for the common people in this or any other country. They will not solve a single one of the enormous societal challenges that lie like an enormous weight on our public chest and that lie in wait to restrict our children’s future.
Whether we talk about war and peace, energy or health care, social security or child mortality I cannot find the face of a savior or even a halfway decent prophet in any ring of this circus.
I know that I can trust all of them to say one thing publicly and the opposite when the cameras amd microphones disappear. I know that everyone shown on the stages above has, and will in the future, sell out the interests of the working people of this country and others to the first corporate lizard with with a handful of campaign cash. I hear their phony pronouncements, so carefully crafted by their handlers and spin doctors and reject almost every word I hear.
I am sick of hearing from everyday people around me that “they’re all alike, Republicans, Democrats, it doesn’t matter, they’re all crooked.”
I’m sick of hearing that statement because it’s so damn true. The instant that the election returns were counted last fall my Democratic leadership began groveling at the feet of the same corporate interests that put the Bush/Cheney fiasco in office.
They will provide for the future, trust them, “their future,” but when the pie is sliced and served we will still be eating cake… Urp!

FED UP WITH THE POLITICAL STATUS QUO
Washington isn’t listening to the American people.
One of the most important issues that has been left out is the Immigration issue. When are the politicians in Washington going to listen to what the people of this country want. We need to inforce the current immigration laws that exist already. If we allow this new policy of amnesty to go through what will the future of american jobs be in this country. Just think what could happen if we allow over 12 million illegal immigrants citizen status. Many are non English speaking, illiterate criminals. They are wanting services right now that should only come with legal citizenship. I know that this country was founded on immigrants. But we have reached a point where this country can’t even provide for the people that are citizens now, much less take on milllions more. Not to mention how the influx would bring other american workers wages down also. I thought our official language was already English. I am so proud of England that they will no longer print government type instructions in all the languages unless it pertains to security.
RETURN TO REAL DEMOCRACY
We are going the wrong way down the road from Oligarcy to Democracy, and it’s long overdue that we turn around before all is lost.
When did our precious democracy start to devolve?
-When corporations gained more power than actual citizens and they stopped having to be responsible to their workers, their community, the public and our nation;
-When greed alone came to dictate what actions to take by our government, our courts, the media and the corporations.
How can responsibility to the common good become our highest value once again?
-By recognizing that corporations need to be regulated and held responsible for their impacts;
-By taking the money out of the political campaigns;
-By restraining the ruanaway presidency, removing the secrecy and restoring the balance of power between all three branches of government;
-By stopping the monopolization of our media and corporations and restoring the balance that a competive environment fosters;
-By protecting whistleblowers instead of persecuting them;
-By trashing the WTO, NAFTA and similar trade agreements by restoring trade restrictions and tarriffs that promote our nation’s workforce and provide for a reasonable wages and punish corporations that try to save money by outsourcing jobs;
-By restraining the funding of religion to the private sector:
-By providing free medical care and higher education;
-By taxing the all commensurate with their wealth;
-By recogniziing that we can only continue to lead the world by showing a deep respect for all others, and not by subjugating them with military or economic forces for our own benefit.
We have lost our direction, but we are not lost yet. Look to our past. The wisdom of our forefathers is still as true as when these visionaries first penned it.
It all boils down to one simple concept, expanded with reason: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I work with young girls that are single mothers on welfare. I basically pay for their healthcare through the taxes that I pay while they buy cigarettes, go out and party and spend money on clothes, food, drinks, tattos, and Coach purses!
It’s funny that hard working Americans that can’t get their pension after working for 30 yeras and support their families can’t get the healthcare they need…when lazy people can work the system and get away with it!!
How will you stop these people and many others like them that are constantly working the welfare system and costing honest, hard working people millions of dollars in taxes!!
Senator Obama is what’s getting me to the voting booth next year. He is the only candidate in the past forty years to offer the American people a progressive, free-thinking alternative to insider politics.
He will be the one that’s free enough to fight for better teachers’ wages, to toss out ‘No Child Left Behind’, and to ensure that children of all income levels have healthcare and other means to succeed in life and in school.
Barack Obama will talk with our competitors. He won’t tune them out and turn them away. I believe Obama’s diplomacy will not only improve our economic position, but it will improve our standing in the world, and it will improve national and global security.
I believe Obama will not export jobs. I believe he will give tax incentives to those American corporations that are willing to open branches in the poorest parts of the world.
One of the best ways to get people away from international terrorism and from the illicit drug trade is to give them a feasible alternative. Labor is that alternative. Obama will ask American industry to afford a chance to live decently to some of the poorest people on the planet.
The best remedy for American Labor sometimes involves re-training. For our own people, I believe when it comes to folks having worked all their lives in an industry, and that industry fails because of government policies, Obama will give those workers free access to a college or a vocational education. An Obama Administration will not fail us even if industry does.
One last thought: I believe Obama rejects the notion that no-bid contracts helps the ordinary working American. The opposite is true: no-bid contracts exclude people from any chance of earning the best possible wages and benefits for themselves and their families.
I believe the Obama Administration will be wide open to Labor’s ideas and suggestions, and will not engage in unfairness.
Barack Obama is right for American Labor–for the American people; so I urge the AFL-CIO to endorse Barack Obama.
1.Either fight the Iraq war as a war with hundreds of thousands of troops instead of pussy footing around or forget it.
2, Control immigration means controlling a large amount of crime
3. Arm the law abiding citizens with Federal Concealed Weapons Permits. Have every state respect other states concealed weapons permits.
4. Protect American jobs. The companies who outsource jobs should no longer be counted as Americans. No more free trade agreements. Prosecute politicians who sell America to foreigners
5. No one world government. Our veterans have fought hard, died and wounded mentally and physically for sovereignty. Don’t betray us.
1. Dennis Kucinich has pledged to get us out of Iraq within 3 months of taking office, he has a bill HRES1234 that spells this out. He is against any strike against Iran.
2. Dennis Kucinich will implement a not-for-profit, single-payer, free health care system for EVERYONE, he has bill, HRES 676 that spells this out.
3. Dennis Kucinich, in his first day in office will cancel NAFTA and CAFTA (and any other trade agreements Bush makes in the next 18 months) and start the process to withdraw from the WTO, ensuring the abolition of unfair outsourcing and the loss of American jobs.
4. Dennis Kucinich has put forth a bill, HRES 333 that asks for the impeachment of Dick Cheney for lying to the American public in order to start an illegal war and for attacking the American Constitution.
Please think about endorsing and voting for Dennis Kucinich - he has real solutions for the working American, not just rhetoric that will never come to fruition.

Securing Borders and remove all undocumented workers (they are taking away jobs from me here in Saint Louis Mo)
Change immigration migration bill (which allows a steady flow of imigrants to bring in many of their relatives)
More Work (we all want this)
Universal healthcare. Thats not run by greedy insurance companies.. (I am self employed and have no medical insurance)
I am against war but at the sametime would rather fight terrisiom on foreign soils and not in my own backward
Too much outsourcing for Coporates and bring these jobs back home…(tax them higher for using labor from other countries…so much that if forces them to bring jobs back home)
Rewnable energy…(hell most people even dont know you can run any diesel engine on used oil with a cheap additive)
A new third party ( both parties have sold out to public interests groups and coperations who are controlling USA) A party which stands for By the People and For the People
A greener America in every aspects
and I go back to the Issues what will bring out my vote….How come illegal immigration is not an issue?…It is the number one issue for all americans and it seems we here are just not talking about it as a group. As I keep up on alll issues and candidates to date ….I agree with most Democratics stances and issues except for illegal immagrations….I disagree with majority of Republican’s issues except they want to stop illegals and build a better border fence….
So untill one candidate gets it right on all these issues…I will register my family pet and let him vote with his new driver liscence and voter iD card
1. Sending American factory and technical jobs overseas
2. allowing imports that are poisoning our children
3. protecting Americans from terrorists filtering across our borders
4.Importing foreign labor thus replacing our own citizens livelhoods.
Mike Huckabee and Hillary Clinton are scabs. They crossed the picket lines of the writers guild, so they could be on late night talk shows the day before the Iowa Caucus. I think the AFL-CIO should strip these canidates of all future endorsements and give the money to someone who respects our values and will support our unions.

Nationalization of all of our oil reserves with our government also taking a 60% ownership interest of all Oil Refineries.
All of the above plus a referendum on the war and potentially a referendum on impeachment (Cheney first).
1. Securing our borders
2. Enforcing our current immigration laws.
3.Opposing any comprehensive immigration reform. (amnesty)
4. Fair trade
5. Global warming
1 Fair Trade/Jobs
2 War/defense spending/security
3 Energy/enviroment
4 Education on all levels including post secondary for all
5 Worker rights
Note: this list is for all parties. Not strictly a democrat if repubs running good person in Missouri. Green folks had some good ideas
I wish you to comment something about the inmigration problems and the need of an ammisty for them. thank you
The only thing that will intice me to EVER AGAIN VOTE is when i see an INDEPENDENT running for president.
Liberty and Justice for all

I am for the canidate that cares for the working families and UNION WORKERS OF AMERICA.
Fuel Prices.
1- Secure the borders- no amnesty garbage.
2- Strong American manufacturing and agriculture protection thru hefty tarriffs.
3- The Fed needs to put Americans FIRST - not at the bottom of the UN’s global list.
Health care
Free choice to form union
secure borders
Any good (Dem)
1 - Equal & Civil Rights (esp for the GLBT community)
2 - Universal Health Care
3 - Promote Renewable Energy & Stronger Environmental Policy
4 - Protect Social Security & Medicare
Like to see focus on
1) doing away with NAFTA, WTO!
Vote Barack Obama in 08
I hope that democrats wake up to the fact that there is no way that Hilary would win in a general election…we can not afford another Republican President and Hilary would be a force which would unite Republicans to get to the polls and vote against her.
Barack Obama offers the best hope for the American people and our country. He has the intelligence, charisma, skill and spirit to help repair our image in the world and help change policies to make our country more fair to working class americans again.
Ban Home Schooling and Put an end to the failed End Charter School program and put that money back into Public Schools and change the funding so that all Public Schools will provide Quality Education.
Ending the war in Iraq
creaint jobs
better medical and mental health care
How can the war in Iraq be illegal war? Congress voted for it, Congress is the only branch of government that can approve war. Learn how our government works before it you speak.
Beside the Dems will never impreach the President. They can’t because they voted for the war.
Stop unions from endorsing candidates for political office. Let the membership decide on our own.
Endorse right to work states, if you want to join a union fine, but don’t force people to just for a job.
By the way I am a proud union member in a right to work state.
Jobs
Health care
Education
War on Terrorism
1) Get out of Iraq
2) Do not declare war on Iran
3) Enforce rules & laws equally for all involved
4) To whom much is given, much is expected; tax the wealthier & give some much needed breaks to the middle class
5) Make it law that all government agencies provide the public with a means to make suggestions and make changes to laws that are unclear, ineffective, unenforceable, etc. - each agency should have to be accountable to the extent of its effectiveness in providing taxpayers with the services for which they are so heavily taxed.
Its the ECONOMY stupid, again!
Electing Senator John Edwards President of the United States.
I knew this would happen when they started campaigning for the 2008 election five minutes after the 2006 mid terms. I felt it coming, like the feeling I get when I eat a giant sausage sandwich with peppers and onions at midnight, I know that indigestion is in my immediate future.
I’m sick of politics, thoroughly, fed up, to the gills…. Urp!
I know, I know, being sick of politics is like being tired of living, OK so what what what do you do about it? Shut up? Quit bitching? Take up residence in the nearest hermitage? Find a cuckoo’s nest and commit to it?
-When corporations gained more power than actual citizens and they stopped having to be responsible to their workers, their community, the public and our nation;
-When greed alone came to dictate what actions to take by our government, our courts, the media and the corporations.
How can responsibility to the common good become our highest value once again?
-By recognizing that corporations need to be regulated and held responsible for their impacts;
-By taking the money out of the political campaigns;
-By restraining the ruanaway presidency, removing the secrecy and restoring the balance of power between all three branches of government;
-By stopping the monopolization of our media and corporations and restoring the balance that a competive environment fosters;
-By protecting whistleblowers instead of persecuting them;
-By trashing the WTO, NAFTA and similar trade agreements by restoring trade restrictions and tarriffs that promote our nation’s workforce and provide for a reasonable wages and punish corporations that try to save money by outsourcing jobs;
-By restraining the funding of religion to the private sector:
-By providing free medical care and higher education;
-By taxing the all commensurate with their wealth;
Welfare:
I work with young girls that are single mothers on welfare. I basically pay for their healthcare through the taxes that I pay while they buy cigarettes, go out and party and spend money on clothes, food, drinks, tattos, and Coach purses!
It’s funny that hard working Americans that can’t get their pension after working for 30 yeras and support their families can’t get the healthcare they need…when lazy people can work the system and get away with it!!
How will you stop these people and many others like them that are constantly working the welfare system and costing honest, hard working people millions of dollars in taxes!!
Thank you for your time!!
~Erin from Elgin, IL
Thank you.
