Here’s Your Chance to Win a Chevy Truck

If you are a member of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA), you may be able to head off to your favorite hunting land or fishing spot this summer in a brand-new 2009 Chevy Silverado. The Chevy truck will go to the winner of a drawing on or about July 2. All USA members will automatically be entered in the drawing. (For contest details, click here.)

General Motors and its Chevrolet division are partners with the USA, the hunting, fishing and conservation club for union members, retirees and their families, and the Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP).

Says Fred Myers, USA executive director:

In these tough economic times, we are honored that Chevrolet recognizes the importance of preserving our national resources and has stepped up to support the TRCP conservation mission and its union-dedicated hunting and fishing club. Through this partnership, we can educate sportsmen about access opportunities around the country, while enhancing the value of USA membership.

Maintaining public access to the outdoors for hunters and fishing enthusiasts is a major goal of the TRCP and USA. In November, as part of the partnership efforts, Chevrolet launched a new website dedicated to access that showcases public access points for hunting and fishing and also provides articles, photos and other valuable information.

Says Tom Gilbert, Chevrolet regional marketing manager:

Our interest is providing products that fit the needs of people who are involved in the outdoors…and taking care of the environment where they engage in their sport. We continue to work on technologies that will improve fuel economy and increase mileage while still providing the power that outdoor enthusiasts need. The USA brings together union members who appreciate the quality of products made in the U.S. and share Chevy’s passion for preserving the traditions of hunting and fishing, and we feel fortunate to be part of that effort.

All USA members who are residents of the United States and at least 18 years of age on June 30, 2009, are automatically entered in the drawing, which will take place on or about July 2, 2009. While connecting union hunters and anglers across North America, the USA extends union member benefits to the woods and water. Benefits include valuable hunting and fishing information, discounts on outdoor gear and chances to win special prizes.
