That does not mean we need to defend the leadership which is corrupt and bureuacratic but just like the union's we belong to we need to defend China against attacks from the world capitalists who foam at the mouth thinking about the capture of the world's largest market. Remember that before the successful Chinese Revolution many women had their feet bound in childhood for life, peasants labored like slaves in the pre-Civil War south and workers were used up so quickly that their life expectency was about 31 years. Today the Chinese woman and working class has stood up and is progressing and the life expectency has doubled. That is quite a bit of progress in only 60 years.
