Trump: Tax China, Create Jobs in America
![]() |
|
Donald Trump knows a few things about making money. The first step: You need a job. But a job is something more than 17 million of America’s workers don’t have.
In a recent CNN interview, Trump says one big way this country can create jobs is by heavily taxing China’s exports, which would result in the creation of much-needed manufacturing jobs here at home.
When it comes to manufacturing, China is making all these products. They could be made in North Carolina, they could be made in Alabama, they could be made in lots of our places and right now they’re not.
Personally, I’d tax China because it’s not a free trade country. I would tax China very, very heavily…it would create jobs in this country.
The truth is, if we tax China, fairly substantially…you would have so much money in this country, you wouldn’t have the trade deficits…you have trading deficits that are enormous in the United States….What will happen now, is other areas of the country will start manufacturing products, and that’s what this country needs. (H/t to Alliance for American Manufacturingfor Trump video clip.)
Some 2.4 million U.S. jobs were lost or displaced between 2001 and 2008 because of the U.S. trade deficit with China, according to the Economic Policy Institute (EPI). And high-tech jobs are being outsourced faster than those in any other sector. The Alliance for American Manufacturing has a great chart breaking down this job loss state by state. The map highlights how every state is affected by the U.S. trade deficit with China, like Georgia, which lost 78,000 jobs, nearly 2 percent of its employment.
This country needs 11 million new jobs to get to the level of employment we had before the recession. And there’s no good reason why corporations aren’t creating them. Trump took on the false notion that U.S. tax laws discourage companies from locating here.
I think we’re the most [business] friendly country. This country is so friendly. The biggest problem we have is with China is they’re sucking money out of this country, and the horrible part is that they then loan it back to us. I know lots of folks in China. They think we are the dumbest son of [a blanks] in the world. They think our representatives don’t know what they’re doing. They laugh at us behind our back.
Maybe some of those lawmakers need to remember Trump’s signature phrase: “You’re fired.”

If you take a look at the map, the majority of heavily unionized States have lost jobs to China. Maybe this tells you something. The States that are the darkest red are States that are nearly bankrupt from high union pension costs. Hmmm?
China owns the US and at any point they could call in the Note, we don’t have enough money to pay them back.
Instead of sending American core values to China, American companies have exported capitalist greediness running after maximized profits. Collaborated with the Chinese officials, American businesses can do anything that they dare not even dream in US. The Chinese workers describe the American capitalists as Marrow Sucker Zhou, a notorious Chinese legendary figure. Like the huge orange cloud of pollution that pushes itself from China all the way to the coast of California, American businesses of Marrow Sucker Zhou is the reason how and why the poor Made-in China products flood the US market. Greediness not only harms US consumers, costs millions of US jobs, breaks countless American families, but also helps the Chinese government become the biggest creditor of the United States.
In China, time goes back to Mao’s era. China’s human rights conditions have never been this bad since Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989.
However, for America’s companies, this period of two decades is their booming time: they set up headquarters, factories in China, and outsource millions of jobs from the United States. Instead of setting high standards for their Chinese competitors, the American companies lower all the standards: they hire Chinese employees with openly discriminative conditions such as strict requirements of height, weight, age, marriage status…By mess-producing commodities on the land of China and taking advantage of China’s lagging environmental restrictions, they destroy China’s forests, pollute China’s seas, rivers, lakes, land without being punished. The polluted water and air have created “cancer villages” spreading all over China’ rural areas, have blackened the lungs of many city residents and taken endless lives. Then, the notorious orange cloud of pollution pushes its way across the Pacific all the way to California.
l Although Wal Mart US claims none of its products sold in US comes from sweat
shops in China, all its products sold to the Chinese people in China are from sweat shops. Wal Mart China uses only young college graduates. One of the Wal Mart employee girls that I know complains that Wal Mart forces them to work like animals, A Wal Mart purchasing agent is sure that Wal Mart bribes the Chinese government officials as many international companies such as Simens do in order to do business in China. Wal Mart not only brides, but also receives briberies from its suppliers.
l In Luwan District of central Shanghai stand a cluster of well-built high-rises
invested jointly by Morgan Stanley and a finance company owned by the son of China’s former top government official. Just a few blocks away, angry residents hang huge white banners outside their windows to protest the collaboration.
l Teaming up with the notorious Gold Shield Project designed by the Chinese government to monitor internet users, American internet businesses block the websites of President Obama, CNN, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senators like John Kerry and Sam Brownback. Yahoo and Google have been accused of betraying their clients by assisting the Chinese authorities to identify the internet users who are accused for posting “anti-government” comments.

l Harvard University accepts large numbers of sons and daughters of the
Chinese top leaders such as Jian Zhemin, who masterminded the brutal persecution of Fa Lun Gong religious believers, and Li Zhaoxin, former Chinese foreign minister, to name just a few. For the past two decades, this university has received from the Chinese dictators bad money stained with Chinese people’s sweat and blood.
l CCTV maneuvers public opinion by reporting nothing but lies. Its distorted
and twisted reports bombard 24/7the ordinary Chinese who are allowed to watch nothing but CCTV. The message it tries to convey is same as Mao’s regime: the entire world is going down slop, only China is prosperous . It will soon replace the United States to lead the world. (Mao: the enemy is getting rotten day by day while we communists are getting better and better.) Many well-known American professors invited to appear on CCTV can only depend on CCTV’s Chinese interpretations to help get their opinions understood, thus consciously or unconsciously becoming part of the enormous propaganda machine to deceive the Chinese people. To thank Yale, President Hu Jintao last summer offered the Yale delegate led by the school president not only a free trip to visit China’s most important cities but also a meeting with himself.
The American marrow-suckers are very grateful to the Chinese officials: to protect their common interests, the Chinese government bans Workers Union, NGOS in any form, even a parents’ help group of mentally retarded children. The Chinese laborers have no choices but to accept the exploitation of Marrow-Sucker Zhou silently and helplessly. The American Marrow-suckers are also thankful to the Chinese government. If without the iron-fist control of its own people, the Boxing Uprising targeting the exploitation of Westerners in late Qin dynasty would have taken place already to repeat history.
While the Americans have abandoned its core values in exchange of big, temporary profits, the Chinese government has never forgotten its principles. It recently declares to the world that it will never accept Western democracy, never allow the existence of multi-parties on the land of China, and never change its current political system of dictatorship. Emperors and dictators have ruled China for 2,500 years. Why can’t the Chinese Communist Party continue to rule China, even the world for another 2,500 years?
In this tide of globalization, China is the clear winner: its model of low-human rights, low salary, low cost of using natural resources, and high environmental pollution is highly successful and seems invincible. But this model is an evil model: it hurts workers everywhere, damages international environmental protection efforts, threatens world peace, and obstructs the social progress of the entire humankind.
Take ACTION now to fight, first not the Chinese government, but the special interests group– American multinational companies should be responsible for the huge American job lose; they should be responsible for hurting American people and economy.
It’s interesting that more people running business like Donald Trump can’t see the big picture by now. A man or woman making 10 bucks an hour just scraping by, has no purchasing power. Luxuries like a hotel rental, vacation, new car etc. are off limits for too many Americans now that they have been made poor by bad “free trade” agreements. If every import were taxed slightly, our balance sheet would look a lot better. Until these agreements are more balanced, we can expect the continued exodus of companies until the states eventually reach collapse from lack of real jobs that pay living wages.
I find it interesting that Trump would look south where there excuse me while I puke, are right to work laws.
